By accepting a quote, placing an order, making payment, or buying through our online shop, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Wickwell Gardens

Wickwell Gardens supplies premium wicking garden beds, DIY Wicking Bed Kits, and Expert Install Wicking Beds.

Our DIY Kits are made for customers who want to set up their own wicking bed using the parts and instructions supplied.

Our Expert Install service is for customers who want Wickwell Gardens to deliver and professionally install their wicking bed system.

We do our best to make sure all product details, images, prices, and inclusions are accurate. However, some small changes may occur due to:

  • Natural timber colour and grain

  • Material availability

  • Site conditions

  • Product options selected

  • Custom order requirements

2. Quotes and Pricing

Prices shown on our website are guide prices only, unless clearly stated otherwise.

Final pricing may change depending on:

  • Bed size

  • Quantity

  • Delivery distance

  • Site access

  • Site conditions

  • Selected options

  • Installation requirements

  • Extra materials

  • Extra labour

For Expert Install orders, we will provide a formal quote before payment is required.

For DIY Wicking Bed Kits, pricing may be shown through our online shop or supplied by quote.

Wickwell Gardens may update prices, product details, and service inclusions at any time before an order is confirmed and paid.

3. Payment Terms

Full payment is required before delivery, collection, or installation.

For DIY Wicking Bed Kits, payment must be completed through our online shop or approved quote before the order is prepared.

For Expert Install Wicking Beds, payment must be completed in full before delivery and installation are booked.

Your order is not confirmed until payment has been received.

4. DIY Wicking Bed Kits

DIY Wicking Bed Kits may include, depending on the product selected:

  • Ready-made timber garden bed

  • Wicking system

  • Geotextile

  • Perlite

  • Setup instructions

Soil, mulch, plants, and extra materials are not included unless clearly stated in the product description or quote.

Customers must read and follow the supplied DIY Kit instructions carefully.

Wickwell Gardens is not responsible for issues caused by:

  • Incorrect DIY assembly

  • Incorrect installation

  • Failure to follow instructions

  • Poor site preparation

  • Unsuitable soil mix

  • Overloading the bed

  • Misuse or neglect

  • Damage after delivery

  • Changes made by the customer

  • Changes made by another person or third party

5. Expert Install Wicking Beds

Our Expert Install service may include, depending on your accepted quote:

  • Bed size and layout guidance

  • Premium timber wicking bed

  • Wicking system installation

  • Geotextile and internal wicking parts

  • Delivery

  • Professional installation

  • General setup guidance

Customers must make sure the site is ready before installation.

This includes:

  • Clear access paths

  • Safe working conditions

  • Suitable parking or unloading access

  • Accurate information about stairs

  • Accurate information about slopes

  • Accurate information about narrow access

  • Accurate distance from vehicle to install area

  • Any other site limits we should know about

If the site is different from what was described before quoting, extra charges may apply.

This may include costs for:

  • Extra labour

  • Extra delivery handling

  • Access equipment

  • Changes to the install method

  • Rescheduling

6. Delivery and Installation

Delivery and installation times are estimates only.

Times may change due to:

  • Weather

  • Material delays

  • Supplier delays

  • Scheduling changes

  • Access issues

  • Unsafe site conditions

  • Events outside our control

For Expert Installs, the customer or an approved person may need to be at the property at the agreed installation time.

If Wickwell Gardens arrives and cannot complete the delivery or installation, extra fees may apply.

This may happen if:

  • Access is blocked

  • The site is unsafe

  • The customer gave incorrect information

  • The customer is not available when required

  • The install area is not ready

7. Warranty

Wickwell Gardens provides a 2-year builders warranty on Expert Install Wicking Beds from the date of installation.

Wickwell Gardens also provides a 2-year warranty on DIY Wicking Bed Kits, as long as:

  • The supplied instructions are followed correctly

  • The product is used for its intended purpose

  • The product is not misused, overloaded, altered, or damaged after delivery

The warranty covers defects in workmanship or supplied parts under normal use.

8. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover:

  • Incorrect DIY assembly

  • Incorrect DIY installation

  • Failure to follow instructions

  • Misuse or neglect

  • Accidental damage

  • Pest damage

  • Fire, storms, flooding, or extreme weather

  • External impact or physical damage

  • Moving the bed after delivery or installation

  • Modifying the bed after delivery or installation

  • Natural timber movement

  • Timber colour changes

  • Minor cracking, checking, or natural weathering

  • Problems caused by unsuitable soil

  • Problems caused by poor drainage

  • Problems caused by overloading

  • Problems caused by incorrect watering

  • Problems caused by unsuitable planting choices

  • Damage caused by third-party work

  • Normal wear and tear

To make a warranty claim, please contact Wickwell Gardens with:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Photos of the issue

  • A clear description of the problem

We may need to inspect the product before approving a repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

If there is a major problem with a product or service, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, or another remedy required by law.

Our warranties are provided in addition to any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds

Many Wickwell Gardens products are prepared, built, ordered, or scheduled for each customer.

Because of this, changes or cancellations may not always be possible once payment has been made.

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Cancellation fees or costs may apply if:

  • Materials have already been ordered

  • Products have already been built

  • Delivery has already been booked

  • Installation time has already been scheduled

  • Custom work has already started

Refunds, repairs, replacements, or other remedies will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

11. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing correct order details

  • Providing correct delivery details

  • Providing correct site information

  • Checking sizes before payment

  • Checking quantities before payment

  • Making sure the chosen location is suitable

  • Confirming access requirements

  • Following DIY Kit instructions

  • Maintaining the bed after delivery or installation

  • Using the product for its intended purpose

For decks, balconies, rooftops, raised platforms, or other load-sensitive areas, customers must confirm that the structure can safely hold the filled weight of the wicking bed before ordering or installation.

12. Product Care and Maintenance

Wicking beds need proper setup and care to work well.

This includes:

  • Correct installation

  • Suitable soil

  • Correct planting

  • Proper watering

  • Ongoing garden care

  • Regular checks and maintenance

Plant growth can vary depending on:

  • Sunlight

  • Weather

  • Soil quality

  • Watering habits

  • Pests

  • Season

  • Plant choice

  • Garden care

Wickwell Gardens does not guarantee specific plant growth, crop yield, or plant survival.

13. Website Information

Information on our website is provided as general guidance.

We aim to keep product details, pricing, and service information accurate and up to date. However, errors or omissions may occur.

Wickwell Gardens may update website content, product details, inclusions, prices, and availability at any time.
